From Knowing to Surrender: Why Jesus Had to Come
There’s a gap in every one of us.
A gap between what we know… and how we actually live.
We know what matters. We know what God says. We know the kind of people we want to be. And yet, we still struggle to live it out. We try harder. We reset. We make new plans. And somehow, we keep ending up in the same place.
So what’s the problem?
And why isn’t knowing enough?
In this message, we walk through John 1:1–5, 14 and Philippians 2:5–8 to see why Jesus didn’t just come to give us more information… He came to do what we could never do on our own.
Jesus is not just a messenger. He is God.
God didn’t stay distant. He stepped into our world.
He didn’t come in power. He came in humility.
And He didn’t just come to be with us. He came for us.
This isn’t just a Christmas story.
This is God stepping into our gap.
And it changes everything.
WHAT YOU’LL WALK AWAY WITH:
  • Why knowing truth isn’t enough to change your life
  • What the incarnation actually means and why it matters
  • How to move from hearing to actually doing
  • One practical step of surrender you can take this week
  • Who in your oikos you can invite this Easter
KEY SCRIPTURE:
 John 1:1–5, 14
 Philippians 2:5–8
 James 1:22
NEXT STEP:
 Don’t just listen.
Identify one area where the gap is real in your life.
 Surrender it to Jesus.
Take one step of obedience this week.
And invite someone in your world to sit with you this Easter.
