Disability Ministry

Helping kids with disabilities experience the gospel

We know it's difficult for families affected by disability to be fully immersed in the Church body. Our desire is to help kids with disabilities be fully-included in our Next Gen ministries and for parents to have a time to experience Christian community. Without you, we're missing a part of the Church body. Join us and let us all be a beautiful image to the world of God's great family.

Disability Ministry at a Glance

What age range is disability ministry for?

It spans all of Next Gen ministries (Kids & Students), so birth through seniors in high school.

Will my child be in a special needs classroom?

No. Kids will be with their peers in the appropriate classroom for their age or mental status.

How will my child be included in the classroom?

We have trained volunteers to be one-on-one aides for kids with disabilities. Our aides will provide for the needs of your child so that they can be fully included with their peers.

Will you call me if my child is having a difficult time?

We will contact you as a last resort. We will try multiple strategies to help calm your child down as well as utilize our sensory room. If your child isn’t coming down, we will call you but we really want to do our best to help your child and help you have a time of worship/fellowship.

Which services are you offering it?

We’re offering it at 9am and 11am on Sunday mornings, and at our 6:30pm Midweek gatherings.

How do I know my child is safe?

All of our volunteers in Next Gen are background checked. We have a rule-of-two, meaning a volunteer is never alone with a child. We secure our facility during service and have a security team that monitors the facility as well.

I plan on attending for the first time this Sunday. Is there something I should do?

Yes! If you know you’re coming, please fill out our online intake form below. If we receive it in advance then we can arrange for a one-on-one aide. If you show up without filling out the online intake form then we will ask a parent to be their one-on-one aide for the day.
