Student Ministry Director
OVERVIEW
Full-time employment
Reports to Next Gen Pastor
Role is to:
1) oversee the spiritual growth of middle school and high school students,
2) make new disciples
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high school diploma or GED, prior ministry experience, cleared background check, and cleared live scan. Ministry experience includes volunteering, interning, or working for a church.
RESPONSIBITIES
- middle school youth nights
- high school youth nights
- middle school Sunday mornings
- outreach events
- student contact time
- summer and winter camps
- Summerfest
- overseeing student worship teams
- managing and developing adult volunteers
- managing and developing student leaders
- building relationships with parents
- overseeing the student ministry budget
- all other responsibilities assigned by the Next Gen Pastor
EXPECTATIONS
- able to teach middle school and high school students Scripture in a way that is accessible and engaging
- good communication with parents
- continually growing in your faith
- continually learning and growing as a leader
- live a life that exemplifies what it means to be a follower of Jesus
- bi-weekly meeting with Next Gen Pastor
- quarterly Next Gen Team meetings
- become fluent with Planning Center Online
- help with all church events (dates given in advance)
