Tami came on staff in 2005 and is in the same role now is she was then, our wonderful Playschool Director.  If it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t have a playschool ministry, as she does everything from planning curriculum to making sure we remain compliant with State laws for preschools.  She grew up in Hanford, in a typical neighborhood where the neighbor kids played outside together. They knew it was time to go in for dinner when the sun was going down and the streetlights came on.  In her teen years, she did a lot of babysitting. That’s when she decided she wanted to work with preschool age children where each day is different because children are the best. She worked at a preschool in Visalia for a few years after getting her degree before she got married and raised their children.

Tami has attended First Baptist Hanford since she was 6 months old.  As she grew into an adult she was involved in the nursery, adventure club, Sunday School and the Playschool while each of their kids attended.  As they grew up, she felt God nudge her to be more involved in the Playschool, so she applied and has been our Director ever since.  When she’s not at work, you will find her spending time with her grandchildren, baking, scrap booking or planning projects for both her and her husband around their house.
